Visit the Lab during any Saturday timed entry in September for a bonus animal encounter from one of our seven animal ambassadors! Animal encounters will be held mid-session, and include an optional touch portion at the end. Our animals are excited to meet you! 🦀🐸🦎

Ambassadors include land hermit crabs, White's tree frogs, Madagascar hissing cockroaches, an African pygmy hedgehog, a corn snake, a Mali Uromastyx lizard, and a ball python snake. Which animal ambassadors will be out is determined on the day-of according to the needs of our animals.

Join the Lab's Youth Advisory Board for an out-of this-world-experience! These amazing local high schoolers can't wait to share their love of STEM with your family, and they've created spectacular space-themed activities just for you. Spin your own nebula art, program a rover, solve a telescope packing puzzle, and more! 🛰️🪐

This special event is included with your admission, and there will a thematically appropriate animal encounter too!

Autumn is in the air! The Lab will be decked out in our not-so-scary Halloween best, and we've got STEM fun with a seasonal twist, from a supernatural scavenger hunt to the spider launcher and spooky slime piano! Included with your admission.

Bring the whole family for an unforgettable evening of Halloween fun and hands-on discovery at our annual Haunted Lab Family Costume Party! From glowing experiments and fascinating creepy crawlies to spook-tacular STEM activities, there's something for everyone to enjoy. Show off your creativity in our family costume contest, enter for giveaways, check out some action-packed chemistry, and try your hand at  custom "Franken-toys" with a 3-D pen, and magical color-shifting potions! 🌈
